How would you customise this table?
We have an old Ikea table like this one: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20011408 (except it’s purple)
It’s looking a bit scruffy so I’d quite like to customise it in some way, e.g. painting, collage etc. But I’m not sure exactly how to go about it. I have done a few different crafts in the past but nothing for a while. How would you do it? What materials, methods etc would you use?

you could decoupage family photos

use pressed flowers from your garden and family pictures . Enviro-tex sealer is a good way to cover it!
I agree with the other answerer! I would go a step further and use photos and other embellishments like stickers silk flowers metal charms and other things you can find in the scrapbooking sections of a craft store. You can decoupage but if it is in your budget try to get a piece of glass or plexiglass to out over top. This will protect better against stains and spilling,
