How to resize human size sewing pattern pieces to 18 inch doll size.?

I have heard of resizing them with a scanner/printer. Human size sewing patterns have a section either on the envelope or on the sewing instructions of the pieces that make up the pattern. I little section. Has anyone copied that section and increased the peices with a scanner by like 50% to make doll clothes for an 18 inch doll?

Dolls and people tend to have different proportions. Why not start with a basic pattern that fits the doll and redesign the human pattern onto it?

If you’re talking about the cutting layout diagrams in patterns, you’d need to blow them up a lot to begin to fit an 18″ doll… and they will probably be wrongly shaped and way too big in neck and shoulders.
