It really depends on what material the doll’s hair is made of. It is likely to be nylon based, in which case it may be almost impossible to straighten it. I would try dipping it into a bowl of hot water. It may work, and providing you don’t soak the doll itself, that would be the easiest way to try.

You could apply some fabric stiffener from the craft store, or make up a solution of laundry starch to put on it, and wrap it in cellophane to see if it flattens out.

When I was younger I used to wet the doll’s hair and comb it straight. I’m pretty sure they’re usually made of synthetic materials so using a heating tool directly on it would melt the hair. But you could try using a cloth as a barrier and flat iron the hair…just make sure it doesn’t rest in one area for too long. When I’m ironing a piece of clothing that has some type of man made material in it I usually use a cloth, even with acrylic yarns…and it always helps.

maybe Windex original will work. It helps me to restyle doll hair especially on barbies that have been abused.

all i can say is be careful…..dolls hair is made out of Saran…as in Saran wrap…plastic…..you can melt it very easy…you may want to consider put a doll wig on your doll to change the hair style.
