How to make a craft coffee cup?!?

We got an assignment in class and because of that, I need to make a giant coffee cup (maybe around 1-3 ft tall) out of craft materials. Any suggestions? Other than paper mache.
Thanks to all answers!
No, it does not have to hold liquid :P

Does it have to hold liquid? How about poster board and tape? Or plastic canvas?

I would buy a plastic wastepaper basket from 99 cent store and attach a drawer pull from any hardware store. I’d use cermaic.

Crafting supplies come from many places.

If you don’t like plastic, saw off 1-3 FT piece of carpet roll (similar to TP roll) but much stronger. One christmas I used two 6 ft pieces as basis for my angels guarding the driveway. Might want to check out handles for manual garage doors if you need a larger coffee cup handle. I’d check out myself but minimum walking — doctor’s orders!
