How many inches around is an American Girl Doll head?

I want to make a hat for an 18 inch American Girl doll. I need the circumference measurement of the dolls head.

   I measured the one I have in the shop and the top of the head where a hat would fit is 11.5″ to 12″, with the hair, if its a bonnet it will be different. Hope this helps

   13″ is the measurement I go by, going around the forehead to the back of the head at the nape of the neck.
