How is digital scrapbooking different from traditional -by hand- scrapbooking?
And what products would I need to make the switch? (I have a computer, but that’s it)

Digital scrapbooking is just that….digitally done with the use of a computer. Most people have scrapbooking software or Paint Shop Pro to do digital layouts. Many sites on the web are selling pre-packaged bundles to buy for cheap so all you have to do is upload your pictures. When it is complete, you simply print if out and paste it in an album like normal.
Personally, I have tried both and like the ‘by-hand’ traditional way alot better. I like that 3-d dimensional feel rather than another piece of paper that I posted in an album.
I started out as a paper scraper, but turned to digital scrapping a couple of years ago. It took so much to get out all my paper and materials and tools. By the time I was set up, I was too tired to scrap. I love digital scrapping. I do a lot of journaling, so I am still make my pages personalized in that way. I find that it is cheaper — you can reuse a kit over and over. You can mix and match digital kits. There are a lot of freebies, contests/challenges with digital elements as prizes.
My mother is a designer at Digitals, a really great digi scrapping website because the people — designers, owners, and customer are very helpful to newbies.
