How does the CPSIA affect selling doll clothes?

I’ve recently been told that the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) is a big factor i should consider before trying to start making and selling doll clothes online. I don’t quite understand why? If anyone could leave me some info, that would be great!

   If you are just selling on ebay it should not be a problem.
   But if you want to actually open a store you have to consider things like fire retardency and if the item has small parts and age appropriateness.
