I use a double thread when I sew. When it’s time to end, I separate the threads and take one very short stitch with a single strand. Then I tie a knot with that strand and the other one. That’s why that last stitch has to be short. Finally, I thread both strands through the eye of the needle and stick the needle in. I pull the needle out far away from where I stuck it in, so the ends of the thread are buried inside the doll.
.
Insert the needle beneath the outer material and pull it out further along the seam. Do this a couple of times and then reverse the process, going past where you first started and if you want to make sure the thread does not come loose go in the other direction again and when you have done that pull on the thread and snip it close to the material and it should snap back into the body of the doll.
