How do I make doll sized furniture without using wood?

Im wanting to make a chair or sofa for a 22 Inch sized doll. My sewing skill is more than adequate, but my wood working skills not so much. So if I can complete the task without using wood that would be awesome. Any Answers?

   u can use plaster of paris instead of wood!! it ll also look good!! after making furniture u can sew covers for sofa or chair!
