How can I re-produce a professional embossed stamp/seal? (Without buying one for £100′s!)?

I’m trying to replicate a document which contains a 1 inch raised seal.
I’ve got everything else perfect but can’t work out how to add the seal cheaply as it consists of letters going around in a circle so is too complicated to try and form out of clay/craft moulding things… any suggestions?

Lots of paper crafters create ‘seals’ from sealing wax and a rubber stamp. If you already have a stamp that says something like ‘Thanks’ or whatever word you want to create, just do like they did in the days when they sealed letters. Heat some sealing wax (obtained from a good stationery store) and drip it onto the document, then quickly place your rubber stamp in the warm wax, and remove the stamp. Allow the sealing wax to cool down completely before you move the paper.

You can also buy special sealing wax that can be used in glue guns, if you have one.

And if you are doing wedding invitations etc, you can get initials and so on from the craft stores too.

Here’s some step-by-step instructions showing you how to make a wax seal:
