plaster crafts are kind of fun and inexpensive. we did that on a camping trip last year with fish molds, but i bet you could find horse-related molds. we also used the molds to transfer an image onto a piece of canvas. the kids painted the mold with bright-colored acrylics and pressed it onto a piece of cloth. once dry, they made flags, bandanas, etc., whatever their creative little brains could think of to do with a block of material. it was a lot of fun.
for my horse camp… our councelors gave us magazines (horse magazines) and let us cut things out and glue them to a paper. We also had other things like buttons and popsicle sticks so we could glue those onto the paper. I still have the picture i made about 6 year after I made it.
A horse shoe dream catcher. You take string or yarn and if you want to you can thread beads over it, and then you just tie the string or yarn through the nail holes in the horseshoe.
How about cutting out sillouettes of horses and dye transfer on to fabric to make a journal or photo book. If you email me I will send you the link and some photos. needlewings @yahoo.com
