have you ever taken a nice shaped box, such as square and deep, and decorated it with fabric on the inside and
out? I’ve been pockets on the inside, and even made like a tray inside somewhat like in a jewlery box. what do you think of that craft idea?
baby shoe boxes, thanks for the tip. I use alot of shelac. sorry my spelling, I like the matte, and they have the shiny, both are great to paint onto a box for that finished look.
the tray is made from cardboard, covered with fabric and then a coat of shellac. I hot glue the tray together.

Absolutely… my local hobby-crafts store has a selection of nice little pine-boxes.
I’ve stained and polished a few and lined them with velvet or felt… I’ve painted a few with a faux-stone paint, painted some as bricks… I covered one with an old pair of Levi 501′s.
I use them to stash many of my hobbie-tools and have given others away as gifts.
GOOD IDEA, and keep crafting
My daughter takes fashion mag photos or photos of her friends and collages them on boxes and then covers them with clear tape to seal them-we go to the shoe store-if you ask they will bring you out shoe boxes for free-ask for baby shoe boxes-great size!
