If you could have any decoration or craft/jewelry made of real peacock feathers, what would it be?

I work on a farm that has peacocks, and we sell the feathers that drop every year. But we have started to make earrings with the tips, and now we are looking for new ideas on what we could create and sell for some minor revenue.

Ideas we have already had include other jewelry, such as necklaces or brooches, as well as keychain ornaments or clear bookmarks.

If you could buy something made with real feathers, what would you be willing to get?

What types of crafts / jewelry can you make with a soldering torch / iron? Which one should you get?

My girlfriend is very much into a) DIY jewelry, among other things making jewelry by bending wire, and b) anything that’s loud, bright or vaguely dangerous.

For the above reasons, I considered buying her a gas torch as a present, so she could take her jewelry-making to the next level and indulge her pyromaniac nature at the same time.

Since neither I nor she have any clue about making crafts/jewelry in this way, I wanted to ask if anybody can recommend books or websites on the topic.

Where can I buy craft kits for a child’s birthday party?

My daughter’s 12th birthday is coming up, and she wants to do a craft. I’ve spent days looking online for group craft kits and can’t seem to have any luck. The items I’m finding withtin my price range seem cheap or boring. I need a kit that will make at least 8 to 10 of whatever it is, not just one or two.

How to find dead stock/unsold merchandise?

I always hear about people who find old overstock/dead stock/bulk (often vintage) items like stickers, stationery, jewelry, craft supplies, toys, and other cool stuff–however, they never really say where or how they came across them. Aside from looking in vintage stores and hoping for the best, does anybody know where to look for and how to obtain this kind of merchandise?
