Does someone know of a site or could give directions on how to make those fabric yo-yo’s?

I’m wanting to learn how to make fabric yo-yo’s for an upcoming project. Does anyone know of a well organized craft site (or know how themselves) that could teach me step- by-step and direct me how to begin and finish one. ThankYou In Advance!

Also, I bought this (inexpensive) little yo-yo maker at the craft store the other day. I haven’t gotten a chance to use it, but it looks helpful.

    Good luck! They’re addicting.

There are some great online stores selling the Clover yo-yo makers, and Heather Bailey’s site is a good resource.

You dont say where you are (country)

    For a simple yo-yo:

Cut your fabric into 3-inch circles and machine stitch a small zig-zag stitch around the edge.
Now, by hand, use a simple running stitch along the outside of the circle just inside the zig-zag stitching.
Pull up the hand stitching to gather and flatten the yo-yo.
with your needle and thread still in the fabric, make a couple of stitches in the center of the yo-yo to hold it together.
Finish by pushing the needle through the center of the yo-yo, out the back and clip.
To join the yo-yos, place them in the desired pattern and sew the edges together by hand (It’s prettier that way) with three or four stitches.

i would cut four cirles out of cardboard and use thse to shape your yoyo design and start to knot around it and when you have the wole thing filled just pluck out the cardboard pieces very carefully or else go into jo anne fabrics or your local craft store and ask and they will show you what to do
