Does someone have some ideas for a craft to do at a church youth camp?
We are tie-dying shirts, but we need one other craft to do. The kids are in grades 1st – 6th. Any ideas?

You should make little picture frames out of popsicle sticks and other little pieces of crafts like little poms poms, etc. etc.
you can mix white glue and wonderbread and make sculptures with it – keeps the hands busy for a long time

paint ceramic figures from the dollar store – they usually have kits that include the paint
maybe soap carving for the older kids

At the kids camp I work at we just have a huge box of craft supplies and let them do whatever they want. There is paint, paper, beads, string, boondoggle, markers, crayons, scissors, glue, pipe cleaners, pom poms, etc…..and even old licence plates. For some reason the kids were excited to paint the license plates. We keep an eye on them and help in any way we can.
Buy some construction paper, crayons, glitter and glue (and other age appropriate items) and have the children make cards for our troops overseas thanking them for their efforts and letting them know that we care about them.
yeah i have an idea.have them make a little book of part of what Jesus did. EX: about the first miracle. Jesus turned water to wine.

Last year, we took plain masks and decorated with paint, jewels nd feathers to create Mardi Gras masks.
Take pictures of each child, perhaps in their camp t’s, and use it in a craft, such as the photo frame idea, or making a card with it. There are lots of possibilies and their parents would love it.
Maybe even paste it to something and have them write something that they did at camp.

They are made with sticks/dowl rods and yarn. They can be made very simply, or make them a bit more complicated by twisting the sticks as you weave.
I think this may be suitable for kids of all ages. The younger ones will need help with the instructions, but, it’s fun!
find shells and then get picture frames and a hot glue gun and then glue the shells onto the frame that’s a good thing to do
A paperbag scrapbook is easy and cheap. The link shows a pretty dressed up one, but my third graders can do a simplier version. All you need is some scrap paper, ribbon, and bags.
Help them make goop. Or spray sidewalk chalk. I especially like the last link, the one called oobleck. So weird!
i made a pinata with my cousins kids 4-6 older kids can really have fun since they can get a little more creative all you need to start is large or small balloon matter what size and water flour for paste and lots and lots of news paper and what ever they may think of to add to it but to start for a body or head you make strips of news paper and dip it in the past and cover now this is a long job so it can take a week to get done matters on how much time you spend you want enough pap per so it thick leave a small opening for putting candy in you can fill that in later then once your done and it nice and dry you can start putting collar paper over it or paint it or both it very messy i will let you know that we did this for Easter they made a large Easter egg and loved it but if you take the whole group and make one big one it could be kind of cool. I also did the Tye dye t-shirt we used food coloring love it.
Another art and craft thing i have them do that is also a game is hunt the treasure they draw pictures of were they hid the treasure lot of time i make the treasure something they can use for and arts and craft project i can say this one is addictive to my 6 year old cousin as that all she want me to do i play hunt the treasure but they like the ideal of drawing the hiding place and looking.
