Does anyone know of a good craft for kids about Fire Safety Week?
I work in a library and we have storytimes for the kids each week. We need a Fire Safety craft for Fire Safety week. I’ve looked all over the internet for one and have been so far unsuccessful. So I was wondering if anyone knew one off of the top of their head.

I, like you, could not find any or think of any off the top of my head, but you could show them this short video to teach them a little fire safety for fire safety week:

This just came to me off the top of my head. You could take empty half gallon milk cartons, cover them with paper and use them to create fire trucks. The kids could color the details on it you’re feeling adventurous let them glue on details.
For example drinking draws for the hard suction tubes, (the black hoses on the side), Buttons or any thing round for the wheels and inlets and discharges. Uncooked pasta noodles could be glued to the sides for ladders, ( I won a national model contest once with this technique, thank you very much), yarn or shoe strings for the hoses, have a couple of different color of construction paper for cut out details like axes, dalmations, fire bells, etc. Have a couple of pictures of fire trucks for reference and the kids can do the rest.
And if none of these answers strikes your fancy contact the fire safety educator at a local fire dept at the very least they probably have some coloring books or other materials you can use. Good Luck
