Does anyone have any advice on which paper trimmer or cutter I should buy for rubber stamping projects?
My little sister is lookin’ for a paper trimmer or cutter for when she does her craft projects and I am trying to find one for her as a Christmas present. I did buy her a Fiskar’s Rotary Paper Trimmer but I have read a few reviews that they are hard to use. Does anyone have a trimmer that they would recommend? Thanks!

i have the fiskar’s rotary – it’s collecting dust. my tried and true friend is the fiskar’s personal paper trimmer. i belive that the same people who put out cutterbee sissors (the best!) also have made a paper trimmer (caterpillar something) – but i’ve used my fiskars trimmer for 8 years now and just replace the blades. it’s wonderful!
2 tips for her that i learned the hard way –
1. the points on either side of the blade holder indicated exactly where the cut is
2. 4″ is at the end of the end of the flat part
Fiskars has a paper trimmer that has grids on the base, a ruler to hold the paper in place and a small cutting blade that runs along a track. I use this all the time and am very pleased with it. It easily cuts 12×12 scrapbooking paper. I have never had a problem or been disappointed with any Fiskars product. They are very user friendly and the products are so conducive to creativity.
I had a Fiskars Personal Trimmer, but I found that it often cut skew, others have had the same problem. The best trimmer I’ve come across so far is the Zision Trimmer. It’s made by Provocraft and cuts straight every time.
Ugh to Fiskars.
I like the Carl line, Some people think it’s too bulky to take to crops but it’s very durable and the templates in the base make cutting paper for cards very easy. The 12″ is usually a good buy at Staples
