Do you have any ideas for things I can do while watching TV?

I don’t have the patience to sit through an entire TV show…I get bored. However, when I’m feeling lazy I want to watch TV anyway, so I like to do something else at the same time. I haven’t thought of anything except for painting my nails, which I like, but I can’t paint them all the time because it’s a waste of nail polish, plus I’m sure the fumes aren’t very good for me. Any suggestions?

I’m a 16 year old girl and I like beauty, crafts (but idk what, exactly), anddd probably some of the other things you’ll suggest :)

One thing I have found out is I can’t watch TV and be on the computer as I have to concentrate on one or the other. You can knit, crochet or cross stitch while watching TV. You have to take the time to learn one of them and with it you will be creating something either you can use or give as a gift. Either way you won’t be wasting your time. If you need information on how to do any of these hobbies email me for sites you can visit.

I learned to play guitar while watching tv, now i am learning banjo. I just sit there and pluck until something good comes out but it is quiet enough to do while watching a show.

I cross stitch or knit while watching tv. Sometimes we do puzzles.

Knitting and crochet are good, but also look into tatting and embroidery (both are easy, and less common than the other two). Lacework is also a good task–any flavor of lace you like should be suitable, be it bobbin lace, filet, teneriffe, or what have you. You can draw, or work with polymer clay. Small hand sewing projects like hats are also good. I’ve done most of these (never really got the hang of knitting and crochet, though). You could also learn how to make chainmail–the techniques for it are quite simple, and you can make some really stunning jewelry if you’ve the patience to connect everything one ring at a time. One of my current round of things I do while watching TV is sprang (it’s bizarre, but easy, and makes cute hats and bags. Or wall stuff/art).

Counted cross stitch is good for relaxing whilst watching the tv as some of the others have stated.
