Cross Stitching?

Can anyone tell me a good place to cross stitching patterns? I have looked at the local craft stores but I can not find anything that I would like to do. I am looking for counted cross stitch.

Look up subversive cross stich on Amazon. It will give all those schmaltzy designs in the craft stores a whole new perspective :)

The BEST place is your local needlework shop (LNS). To see if there’s one near you, go to http://www.hoffmandis.com, click on Shop Locator on the left side, then find your region. The site lists shops by state. Hoffman Distributing is a major wholesale supplier of cross stitch charts to stores. Some online sites I can suggest include ABC Stitch Therapy (www.abcstitch.com), Stitching Bits and Bobs (www.stitchingbitsandbobs.com – shipping can be slow but she often runs sales so her pricing can be pretty good), 123 Stitch (www.123stitch.com), Nordic Needle (www.nordicneedle.com). There are websites geared to specific types of designs (samplers, European designers, etc.) and many designers have their own websites but what I’ve listed should give you a good start.

mary maxim has a lot of counted cross stitch kits. Here is their link to the catalogue. I’ve been ordering from them for many years and they are very reliable. You could also check Michaels.
Another source for patterns is the public library. They have a lot of cross stitch books in the craft and hobbies section.
