Crafts Question for a gift?

Do you know where to buy sheets of paper that have like fake fur on it? The fake fur shouldn’t be too long..I want to cut it into swiggly shapes to put onto a wooden box? Otherwise I don’t know how to put any furry stuff on…Thanks!

I think what I would do if it were me,I would go to a fabric store and buy the material that you need, then I would glue it on some cardboard and cut out the shapes that you need and then glue it with a either some glue meant for wood or a hot glue gun, hope this is of some help to you.

Not sure why you need the paper-backed fur. Most fake-fur yardage at fabric stores has a backing of some kind that connects all the fur to one solid piece of something, and that backing will glue onto other things quite nicely.

What gets tricky, especially for fur with longer strands, is to cut the fabric or yardage so that it looks good from the fur side. That’s usually done by cutting from the back side with a craft knife, or by cutting with scissors from either side but putting the blade of the scissors on the fur side way down *next to the backing* before cutting so none of the fur strands gets shortened by the cutting.

    hi,
you can use any fabric that has fur on it and to apply it to wood, use fabric spray glue or the old trusty glue gun.
