Could dried epoxy hurt your eyes?

My old and very dear sunglasses frame broke on one spot…as the material of frame is a bit specific (my own craft) I wanted to repair it with epoxy (have the one with two sticks you can mix). But label say it can hurt the eyes in the process of drying. On the other hand, it also say this isn’t harmful to human health when is dry.
Can dried epoxy hurt the eyes? Does it evaporate something when it’s completely dry?
Please help, I really care for this glasses, cause I made them in a very special moment (the time I thought I will go blind forever, which, thank Heavens, never happened) and they are very important to me.

  1. David says:

Once it’s dried, it’s no different than any other hard foreign object – it can scratch your cornea, etc, It’s only before it’s dried that it can have a chemical effect.
