Cheap places to buy sewing essentials?

I need to buy some thin, cut, floral fabrics and sewing stuff tomorrow for making a cot mobile and I tried hobby craft but it’s so expensive! Is there any places in Bexleyheath / Crayford / Dartford
That are good for this sort of thing? I’ll need to go there after school.

   No age limit on sewing needles, anyone can buy them.
   I gather from the names of the towns near you you are from Gr. Britain, sorry, this American won’t be of much help.
   Do you have a fabric store near? They would have the bigger selection of fabrics there, and I could direct you to the remnant fabric bin, where fabric bargains abound. Found some great stuff this year for Barbie and Madame Alexander clothes projects, and a couple craft projects. Half of half price is a big bargain.
   And here in the US, I would direct you to Walmart, even those stores that do not have a fabric department anymore have a notions aisle, and things like scissors and fray check and pins can be found. Kmart used to have a notions aisle, have not seen it for awhile.
   Our dollar stores have a few sewing items.

   I know whenever I’m looking inexpensive fabric and other sewing stuff, I look at the thrift store first. Curtains, tablecloths, and clothing are a great fabric source.

   If you have discount stores, try those. Fabric shops would be the place to buy fabrics and sewing essentials.

   As far as I know, there is no restriction as to minimum age when purchasing sewing needles any where in the world.
