can parchment paper or wax paper be used t iron perler beads?

my boys are making perler bead crafts and we lost the ironing paper that came with the set. can regular parchment or wax paper be substituted?

    I would use parchment paper as it has a much higher burn point than waxed paper. Also, the waxed paper is waxed on both sides, so you would get wax on the iron. Just be sure you test it cautiously the first time, and stop if you smell scorching.

    Parchment paper is coated with silicone which can withstand fairly high temps and also very little can stick to it. But you can also use the slick sheets that stickers or self-adhesive stamps come on, and the sheets that come with fusible webbing, etc. (fabric store).
