Can I still get a full refund from Michael’s Arts and Crafts Store if I do not have the receipt?
I bought and item from Michael’s and I want to return it. I couldn’t find my receipt and realized that the clerk didn’t give me one. If I don’t have the receipt because the clerk didn’t give me one can I still get a full refund? Is it possible because it is really the clerk’s fault which is Michael’s fault?

Sorry, but if you didn’t notice the clerks mistake you won’t get a refund. They need that to make sure you didn’t get your item on sale or use a coupon, and they won’t refund without one. Yes, it’s the clerks fault but they consider it your responsiblity to notice, so you’re SOL, my friend. I suppose you could try it anyway, perhaps you’ll catch a manager in a really good mood.
Most stores will not give you a refund if you don’t have a receipt. Some however, will give you a gift card to use in their store to buy more merchandise. The gift card may end up being a smaller amount if the item has recently been on sale. Especially since a lot of craft stores now offer coupons for 40 to 50% any not on sale item.
Good luck! My suggestion is, if the clerk isn’t willing to give a refund or gift card, Ask to speak with a manager. The manager has more ability or privileges of giving refunds, etc.
