Can I reuse my cookie cutters if I use them to cut soap?
I’d like to make heart shaped soaps for Valentine’s Day (never to early to plan!) for my coworkers using Martha Stewart’s craft guide,

I’m going to buy a separate baking dish so I don’t mess up the ones I have, but do I have to buy separate cookie cutters as well? Or since I’m just cutting the soap after it’s hardened, it’ll be safe to use them to cut cookies too (after a good wash of course)?

I would say it’s fine to use the cookie cutters you have again after you wash and dry them a couple of times. But of course to be on the safer side it might be a good idea to buy some different ones.
yes but make sure you rinse off all the soap 100% so you dont get sick
It won’t hurt anything to use them for cookies and soapmaking.
Wash them thoroughly and make sure to rinse very well to remove any traces of the soap from any bends or corners in the cookie cutters.
I recommend using hot water to ensure that any soap particles are softened so they can be easily removed.
Uh.. dude it’s cookie cutters and soap you use soap to wash things anyways so just wash it after
There is no problem at all using the same cookie cutters. You wash your cutters with SOAP and water after you use them for cookies. Just make sure that you rinse them VERY well and that there are no bits of soap left in any corners of the cutters.
Shouldn’t hurt you if you rinse the cookie cutters well. I like to keep my crafting tools separate from my cooking pans and utensils. I personally would buy two sets. I usually get my crafting cookie cutters from the thrift store.
