ARTS AND CRAFTS: How to build an Elevated railway and what to use!?

My little brother has to build an ELEVATED RAILWAY this month for his project on important landmarks in Sioux City, IA. I’m not creative enough to think of how he should do it so any ideas for you people out there that are creative?
-What materials should i use
-How should it look or how should i make it?

    There would be simpler and more complex/realistic ways of building a model like that so hard to say, especially since you don’t mention the age of your brother or how much familiarity he might have with (or be interested in) building things in general.

    This kind of “bridge” would be simpler than most because it barely has any cross trusses (or whatever they’re called) and is just an elevated platform for a “train” to run along.
