Are there any ideas how to reuse magazine covers in craft projects?
For example—many years ago I saw a garbage can made with rolled up magazine covers. I have searched for resources to give me ideas for ways to use them but have been unsuccessful.

You can decoupage them to objects, like the garbage can. Just about any object can be decoupaged.
You can also apply them to your walls using decoupage methods. You can wallpaper one wall in a room that way.
You can frame them to make a decorate wall grouping.
You can cut them into pieces to make collages.
You can cut them into smaller scenes and use those to make coasters, cards, bookmarks.
Or scan them, and not cut them up.
You could use them for scarpbooking. Say if there was a picture of a woman on the cover, you could cut out her face and put a pic a girl friend in place of it. If you have cooking magazines you could incorporate images from the cover into your book with pictures of your family eating or cooking.
My friend actually took some OLD cooking magazine covers and decopodged her kitchen counter tops with them. It looks sooooooo awesome! Hope this helps!
