Anyone make crafts etc. at home and sell enough to make a living?

I am wanting to do something from home to make money so I don’t have to miss my family while i’m at work. Me and my husband are pretty crafty. I was wondering if making different crafts from home and selling them has worked out for anyone else.

It has worked out for me. I knit hats for babies..toddlers and children and sell them. Sometimes I put a pompom on the hat or whatever the parents want. I knit little booties for babies. I knit blankets. I make scrapbooks for people. I design envelopes and letter paper. Just a lot of arts and crafts things

a lot of people do actually. there are several websites available online to sell these items on. Naturally millions of people log on to Ebay, which would be a great place to sell this sort of thing. — Etsy.com is another rapidly growing trend in my circle of friends. you can log on and buy and sell homemade items. I have a friend who is really into it. Hopefully you can have your goals met through this as well. good luck!

Making a living is very difficult on a “hobby”… particularly during the current economic situation: folks aren’t spending money on crafty-items when they need it for food, rent, etc.

HOWEVER, it CAN be done… I worked out of my home for 4 years building model aircraft and ships as well as designing model railroads. It ONLY worked because I have 20+ years of experience and skills, found a niche: Naval Aircraft models sold to former squadrons of mine at the beginning of the Iraq War.

You HAVE to be able to devote the time, have the capital to fund your business, and the CONTACTS and time to SELL your product.

I had to go find “regular” work last year as the economy took a downturn and folks just oouldn’t afford to spend money on my products.

Yes you can make a living with crafts, but it normally will not generate a huge income.
One man made hundreds of thousands with a Santa Letter business.
You can also paint pumpkins, make chocolate bouquets and more.

Supplement with free legitimate survey sites and other online income streams.
I have a web site with alot of Earn at Home ideas. It is listed in the source box.
