Any unique scrapbooking ideas for a friend?
I’m making a scrapbook for my friend that is moving away this summer and I would like to have some unique ideas.

I just love off-the-page projects or mini-books. Kaisercraft produce a range of chipboard or MDF albums which you can customise and decorate to suit your project. They come in all shapes and sizes like hearts, circles and tab albums. I’ve made one for my Mum recently and she just loves it! They don’t take much time and because they’re made from compressed fibreboard are very robust and are great as a coffee table brag book. Check out my project below:

paste some pictures of your favorite times together into a bunch of pages. make witty captions. i like putting borders around the pictures, like wavy ones. you could maybe add sounds. lots of colors, that always makes someone happy!
Ask the mother to help with some old pictures. this is always a nice surprise.
Layering.
Layer the pictures, if you do them right, it looks awesome.
also, if you color on the page before putting the picture down, it looks awesome. Like scribbling a section of the page blue, then pasting a picture with mostly green or yellow on it, it has a really cool contrast.
dry flowers and leaves and glue them around for decor
how about including a message board page……..A page that simply has hand written messages for your friend from as many of her friends as possible….scrapbooking has no hard and fast rules.
There are so many different ways to scrapbook book. If you are creating 12×12 pages, try using different patterned paper, double mat your photo mats, ribbon, brads, flowers, beads, glitter pens and more.
