Any ideas on a craft involving broken tea cups?

Some of my grandmother’s estate arrived at the house in pieces :( I’m looking to make something with the broken glass and need a few ideas!

How about mosaic stepping stones? You get a plastic form, lay the broken pieces in the bottom, design side down, then fill the form with concrete. When it’s dry, flip it out and seal it with something like Thompson’s Water Seal. My mom and I have made these with her leftover stained glass scraps and they turn out great.

The only ideas I would have is to cover a plain picture frame with the broken pieces. I think this could be very pretty.

The pieces could also be used to make a mosaic picture and put into an 8 1/2 x 11 frame.

You can do broken china mosaic. It can be done on tiles, tabletops, whatever you can think of. How about a picture frame with your grandmother’s picture in it? Anyway here are some instructions

some people would get a bottle or other item, and cover it with tile grout then press the pieces onto it to make a collage, the orientals used to do this and make some marvelous sculptures.

A MOSAIC PICTURE THAT YOU COULD PUT IN A SHADOW BOX AND KEEP IN MEMORY OF HER. ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER ITEMS, HOT GLUED OR PASTED IN PLACE, PERHAPS A PICTURE, A PIECE OF JEWELRY AND A HANDKERCHIEF OR PAIR OF GLASSES , OR SOME OTHER ITEMS THAT YOU REMEMBER HER USING,TO SET ON THE SHADOW SHELF .
