Any good ideas or tips for scrapbooking?

I am historian for DECA at my high school and my job is to create a scrapbook of our year.
This is my first time EVER creating a scrapbook..it’s for a competition and I want to win.
Does anyone have any good tips or creative ideas I can use?

My theme is FAMILY because that’s what our team is.

   The first thing you need to do is get organize and know what pictures/articles you want to include.

   Then I suggest going to your local scrapbook store and taking each set of pictures and match with coordinating papers and embellishments.

   Also do a search for layout sketches. They are easy to use and make a big project easy to finish.

   I’ve been scrapbooking for 15 yrs, worked in the industry for 5 and now own a personal scrapbooking business.
