animal and plant crafts for kids?

hey, im looking for some crafts, word games, scramble games or anything else what would be fun for kids to do.
heres the catch: it has to be something to do with this theme:
How trees and plants affect animals, and how animals need plants even if they dont eat them.

I am having trouble thinking or finding things so anything would help me out!

and if you have any ideas of how animals need trees and plants please let me know as well. eg. plants provide shade for animals, long grass helps animals camoflage.. anything like that!

Animals use trees and plants as homes and for cover; Male deer use trees as signposts to mark their territory and also to scrape the velvet off their antlers in the fall; some animals lay their eggs in tall grass.

Plants change light energy into stored chemical energy through photosynthesis. When animals eat other animals that eat the plants, the chemical energy is passed on to them.

One craft I’ve done with kids that they really enjoyed was letting them create their own Chia-pets. We hollowed out medium-sized Idaho potatoes and stuck toothpicks in the bottom for feet. They used construction paper, craft glue, markers and colored pipe cleaners to create the animals of their choice. Then we added a little potting soil to the hollow and dropped in some fescue grass seeds. They enjoyed watching them grow.
