Altered book ideas for bible class?
for bible class we ave a project to make a book with the story of genesis chapters 1-3. I was thinking to do a altered book but I need some ideas, I wanna make it old looking-how should I type or write the words out, it’s quite a long story. I don’t have many fancy craft items so try n keep it simple 
how can I make the cover look really old- this is my first attempt at making an altered book. thanks in advance.

I understand an altered book to mean that you take a book – any book – and paint and collage onto the pages and cover. So I would start with a book that is already old – not one that is worth money, mind you! But it looks old already – I am assuming a cloth hardbound book. You can hold the book over a candle flame, the smoke with also make it look aged.
The book will have it’s own text and maybe pictures. So you should look for something that somehow goes with the genesis story, or at least doesn’t clash with it. You can find the Bible online, find the version you want, and copy and paste genesis into microsoft word, or whatever you use, then change the font to an old style, and the size of font you want.
